SALT LAKE CITY, UT February 6, 2023 – Gardner, a commercial real estate developer and management company, today announced two new additions to its team as it expands its pipeline of projects throughout the Mountain West including building more multifamily communities to meet housing demand.

Eli Mills has been a part of the Utah landscape for over 30 years. He has completed more than 400 commercial transactions valued at over $3.5 billion.

Mills is also a recognized expert in the commercial and investment real estate industry, having received top awards from the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) institution for the past three years. Most notably he has been awarded the “Largest Office and Multifamily Transactions in Utah” for the past 5 years.

“’Eli has an impressive track record for bringing investors into the Utah market. He is well respected, connected and has done an admirable job in engaging investors and communicating the economic value of investing in our marketplace,” said Christian Gardner, CEO of Gardner.

Jordan Wall was a broker previously with Colliers and CBRE in Salt Lake City. During his career, he successfully leased a wide variety of office properties valuing more than $1.5 billion in total consideration in addition to closing over $350 million in land and investment transactions.

Wall executed many of Utah’s largest commercial transactions including a 329,000-square-foot build-to-suit for the Gardner Group, and the largest office transaction comprising of 420,000-square-feet at the MicroFocus Tower in Provo. His international work includes securing land for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ temple sites in Southeast Asia.

Wall was recognized by the commercial real estate industry as Utah’s CCIM Top 3 Office Broker Finalists in 2016, 2017 and 2019.

”Jordan’s track record reflects his deep industry knowledge and exceptional ability to leverage local market dynamics,” said Gardner. “He is both meticulous and collaborative in his work, which make him a great fit at Gardner.”

Gardner has a strong reputation in the development and management of diversified properties including multifamily residential, medical, retail, office, mixed use, industrial, senior living centers and public facilities. The company has developed over 30 million square feet of real estate while maintaining a focus on designing sustainably and investing where community demand is highest.

Gardner has over $4 billion in its development pipeline with over half of this investment going toward the construction of multifamily housing.

According to the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute, as housing prices accelerated to record levels throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, approximately 71.0% of Utah households were priced out of the median-priced home by the spring of 2022. The narrowing path to homeownership has increased the demand for rental housing.

Gardner is actively working to bring more apartments to both the Wasatch Front in Utah and in Boise, Idaho. Both markets are among the fastest growing in the nation. The company is also exploring avenues to provide more affordable housing to Utah and Idaho.
