Sustainability

Great performing buildings are possible when tenants and landlords work together. Gardner uses the EPA’s ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager to securely track and assess energy and water consumption in the buildings that we own and manage. An efficiently designed building may perform poorly if its systems are not well maintained, or if occupants do not use the systems as intended. By creating and implementing comprehensive and detailed maintenance schedules along with conducting monthly utility usage and cost analysis, we make certain that the building systems are running efficiently. We are proactive in our efforts to achieve minimal energy waste. Additionally, we use nontoxic cleaning supplies, and maintain storm water management plans at all of our properties to ensure that the sites are maintained in an environmentally responsible manner.
